Coffs Coast 4wd Tours is registering expressions of interest for a 10 day outback trip to Broken Hill via Cameron Corner starting April 7 2012.
The tour party will visit a host of great outback locations, camp in unique and picturesque locations and travel on isolated roads. The trip is camper trailer friendly but you need to be well prepared as we will be traveling in remote locations.
Traveling westward from Coffs Harbour highlights will include an overnight stay at Burren Junction hot springs, camping on the Warrego River, driving the historic gorge loop at Tibooburra, visiting Cameron Corner, camping at Fort Grey, walking amoungst ruins at Milparinka, several days at Broken Hill visiting Silverton and following the famed Darling River Run through Tilpa and Louth on the eastwards return leg.
The actual route taken is subject to change depending on weather and road conditions.
This trip is designed to give you a sense of isolation while traveling with a group of like minded 4wd enthusiasts. This fully organised journey provides a great base for friendship and security.
2010 & 2011were great years for the outback with record rainfall and flooding in most areas. The "wet" is forecast to continue in 2012 extending a great flush of growth and an increase in wildlife. This trip will enhance your 4wd ability and allow you to be more confident in your next 4wd adventure.
